How to Send a Facebook Page Update

Using your status update on your wall to communicate is great. But if someone doesn’t log on frequently to view the latest stream, they may miss your message or update. You can use the “Send an Update to Fans” feature to remind them of an important event, a new blog post, a poll and more.

To update your Facebook page fans, you must be the administrator of that page:

  1. Click on “Edit Page” under the Profile Picture on the left hand side.
    Click on “Edit Page”
  2. On the right hand side of the page, around the middle part, you will see a bar “Promote Your Page”. Click on “Send an Update to Fans”.
    “Promote Your Page”
  3. Write your message to your fans. You can target your update by location, sex and/or age. If you want to include a link, simply click “post link” underneath the message box.
Write your message to your fans.
  4. Click on “Send”. Your fans will receive their updates in their “In Box” under “Updates”.
